Always in service to the song.

A 27 year old bassist located in Los Angeles, Kamber Fishbein employs the rhythm and tone of her bass guitar to detail an artist’s emotion, while also aiming to get the audience on their feet. After eleven years on the instrument, she has become well-versed in rock, pop, funk, dance, Latin pop, fusion, and other genres. Growing up a swift 45 minutes away from Los Angeles in her Huntington Beach hometown, she was able to attend many concerts and events during her formative years. A much younger Kamber could even be found enjoying the show from behind the mixing console, alongside her audio engineer father.

Since age 12, Kamber has found joy and comfort in the bass guitar. She began taking weekly lessons with the intention of complementing her pre-existing studies of piano and guitar. Her mother’s love for modern alternative KROQ hits paired with her father’s proud classic rock collection fostered her initial interest in playing music; she was drawn to the high energy levels of the artists she was exposed to. The bass quickly captured her fascination and focus and became her main instrument. She began by playing along to some of her earliest favorite bands, such as Green Day and No Doubt.  Ready to take her maturing skills to the next level, she was enrolled in Huntington Beach High School's Academy for the Performing Arts. She was appointed as the student producer of The Beatles’ White Album showcase, which also served as the school’s annual fundraiser. With this project, she took on the role of music director and general event planner, in addition to playing bass on the first side of the album. Along with performing in the school's frequent album showcases, she found non-academic performance opportunities at venues such as the Whisky A Go-Go and the Huntington Beach Pier.

While attending the University of Southern California's popular music program within the Thornton School of Music, Kamber’s bass playing and performance skills flourished. Studying under Alphonso Johnson, her technique and knowledge of music theory heightened.  In recent years, she has performed at many iconic venues including the Hotel Cafe, the Troubadour, the El Rey, and the Shrine Expo Hall. During the summer of 2016, she performed with Lani Renaldo as a supporting act on Halsey’s Badlands tour. She now performs frequently around Los Angeles with various artists and groups, including Lani Renaldo, Julia Ryan & the Way, and Holander.  She also is involved in studio recording sessions with multiple acts.

Female empowerment is a huge motivation to Kamber, and throughout her career she aims to inspire young girls with a passion for music. Moving forward on her musical journey, she hopes to continue collaborating with a multitude of musicians to entertain audiences of all types and spread positivity.
